During the Moroccan day at Expo 2008, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid was determined to set the bar higher with the aim to increase foreign direct investment in the Kingdom of Morocco.
Attaching great importance to cooperation between Morocco and EU member economies, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has been actively engaging in promoting investments and seeking markets for Morocco’s products and services.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid pointed to the number of investment opportunities in the areas of renewable energy, tourism and agriculture among prospective investors.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid offered to place His presence at the Expo 2008 in Zaragoza to improve Morocco’s image abroad and thereby increase trades, which he believes could be the potential of the country’s market as a vehicle for Morocco economic recovery.
After the inaugural formal procedures, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid visited the Pavilions of Morocco and Spain.
The EXPO events held once in five years are large-scale and the others that take place in-between are small-scale events. The EXPOs stay open for 180 days, and the investments for the event is usually around 10-15 billion USD.
