Rabat – Morocco, January 6, 2008 – The Friendship Meting 2008, a scout event unique of its kind will be held from July 10th to 25th 2008 in four cities: Rabat, Fes, Sefrou and Safi.
Detailed information on accommodation and other useful information are being sent since the beginning of January 2008 to all designated participants well in advance of the meeting.
The Meeting is a great scout social event, an intercultural project, a humanitarian happening, and a place where scouts and their leaders will celebrate the brotherhood and solidarity with their international counterparts.
It is above all a gratuitous gesture to make humanitarian and intercultural projects with other scouts, give their time and energy to create the experience and mechanisms to narrow differences between West and Muslim.
Held under His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid’s patronage, the meeting provides a platform for discussion and exploration of an international dimension of scouting to learn about other cultures and other living conditions.
His Royal Highness’ aim of this project is to develop young people’s intercultural competence by integrating scouts from aboard into the Moroccan culture.
The cultural discourse that will unfolds there is just one of the fruits of His Royal Highness who works tirelessly to promote the understandings of intercultural awareness and intercultural competence to spread His message of peace to the youth all over the world.
