HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid gives heed and voices concerns over struggling farmers




Meknes, April 26, 2009 - Dedicated to eradicating rural poverty in the Kingdom of Morocco, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid met around the table with local, regional and international farmers on Sunday April 26th, 2009.

The meeting came as the country is hosting its fourth International Agricultural Fair in the city of Meknes.

The efforts to support the agricultural sector is long-standing focus of Crown Prince Moulay Rachid, seeking country-specific policies towards increasing rural poor peoples' access to financial services, including the subsidies, technology, land and other natural resources.

HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid pays tribute to French resistance hero



Paris, April 22, 2009 -- His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid attended the funeral of French author and resistance hero Maurice Druon on Monday April 20, 2009 in Paris, France.

Crown Prince Moulay Rachid offered His support to the people of great Republic of France and expressed His condolences to the widow Madeleine Merignac and family.

The funeral took place at the Saint-Louis des Invalides church in central Paris.

The ceremony was also attended by the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, French politicians and leading figures from academia.

Maurice Druon died April 14, 2009, aged 90.

Druon, a winner of the Prix Goncourt literary prize was a fighter for France's World War II Resistance movement and writer of one of its anthems 'Chant des Partisans'.

A strong defender of the French language, Druon was elected to the Academie Francaise in 1966 and served as first secretary from 1985 to 1999.
