A Moroccan immigrants living in Spain traveled to Saragoza only to see His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid, who inaugurated the Day of Morocco in Expo 2008. Marrakech, December 19, 2008 – Lauding a need to increase of the country's education spending, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has advocated concrete measures to upgrade Morocco's education system.

Reminding about the importance of education to international competitiveness, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has taken an important step towards developing education in the Kingdom, laying out guidelines and principles for education policy in visual arts.

In 2007, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid launched a first ever major national cinema school, the Marrakech Graduate School of Visual Arts, with the aim to enable everybody to improve their own qualifications through education.

The school is the first of its kind in the country and embodies a holistic approach to professional and cultural education, opening up fresh personal horizons.

One of key factors of success of school are the Master Classes delivered by prominent professionals of the international film community, including the veteran US movie director Martin Scorsese, Elia Suleiman, Gilles Taurand screenwriter and actor Nour Cherif.

This year during the eighth edition of the Marrakech International Festival, the Master Classes were hosted by British director Hugh Hudson, Spanish director Villaronga Agusti and Egyptian actor Ezzat El Alaili.

Marrakech, December 14, 2008 -- Continue to show ongoing support for meaningful action carried out through the promotion of the sport image and the cultural and ethical values of the sport, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid will be hosting the 12th Congress of Sport Psychology under the motto “Meeting New Challenges and Bridging Cultural Gaps in Sport and Exercise Psychology.”

This five-day high quality Congress of the scientific program, to be held on June 17-21, 2009 at the Congress Center “Palais des Congrès” in Marrakech - Morocco, will focus on opening new perspectives on the science of art and sport and exercise psychology and on issues related to the athlete’s mental management and social changes.

Crown Prince Moulay Rachid expressed pleasure that Morocco will be hosting the twelfth international congress and hopes it will open up the grassland to the amalgamation of qualitative research methods and examination aims of issues of diverse aspects of modern sport and exercise psychology. Marrakech, November 23, 2008 – One of the crucial components of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid’s strategy is to focus on supporting IT linked educational necessities of people with special needs.

Under the direction of Crown Prince Moulay Rachid, 8th edition of Marrakech International Film Festival (MIFF) made movies accessible for visually impaired people by using the "Audio Description,” the actor's voice describes each scene and is transmitted by headset.

This initiative further promotes Crown Prince Moulay Rachid constant efforts to enhance IT skills of citizens with physical challenges, which in return is significant for the overall development of the society.
