Marrakech-Morocco, October 30, 2007 – To boost the Kingdom of Morocco’s cultural movement and to exchange cultural activities between Morocco and Spain, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid and the Princes of Asturias Tuesday (October 30, 2007) officially inaugurated the Instituto Cervantes - Spanish Cultural center in Marrakech.
Stressing the importance of intercultural partnerships in endeavors such as the Instituto Cervantes, Prince Moulay Rachid lauded the efforts to participate actively in the intercultural exchange that inspires and enriches humanity.
With His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid’s prestige and influence the establishment of this center will grow and intensify exchanges and further accelerate ties between the two countries.
In addition to the above during the visit to the center, Prince Moulay Rachid joined by the Princes of Asturias visited the Jose Angel Valente Library where the director of the Instituto Cervantes briefly explained the characteristics of center and held brief cultural performance, which included tribute to Jose Angel Valente.
Then Prince Moulay Rachid and the Princes of Asturias signed the Book of Honor.
His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid has pioneered many significance initiatives to promote intercultural dialogue, in particular through the Kingdom of Morocco, urging international community to engage in a new global Message of Cross-Cultural Understanding.
