Rabat, Morocco, October 20, 2007 – To improve the life opportunities of young people in the global supply chain, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Founder and President of Hassan 2 Golf Trophy Society, launched the free entry tickets for youth under the age of 18 at the Hassan 2 Golf Trophy, the most prestigious Moroccan competition event of the year (held from October 24th to 28th, 2007).
Outlining the changes, His Royal Highness underlines that the new reforms are closely tied to outcomes which reflect the Hassan 2 Golf Trophy Society three central goals: respect of the tradition, innovate without alter, progress in excellency.
His Royal Highness' vision is to expand children's interest in sport of golf and increase numbers of youngsters with the intention of picking up clubs. This overhaul is also aimed at guaranteeing greater access for youth to the event, enlightening activities and examination of the youth's interest in this lucrative sport.
His Royal Highness‘ hope is that the free access for children will boost the number of children passing through its doors. By learning to play golf at young age, we educate our youth to etiquette, discipline, honesty and respect that will stay in them forever.
His Royal Highness’ move of making the Hassan 2 Golf Trophy kids-friendly was welcomed as a great educational resource and it is expected to have a big take up and a massive impact.
Demonstrating his steadfast commitment to improve the status of youth, His Royal Highness leads a number of significant projects to help break the cycle of social exclusion faced by children by providing then support from the early years.
In 2003, His Royal Highness launched an ambitious program based on the principles for sustainable golf development through the establishment of training centres (Academies) and founding of national circuit dedicated to youth.
His Royal Highness, a tireless and dedicated youth advocate, presents an effective model of providing leadership opportunities to youth and encourage truth in empowering youth and giving them a voice. Young people need more opportunities to become decision-makers and serve their community, underlines the Prince.
