I grew up as a girl scout and it was very formative.
On a related point, I would love to see Moroccan schools do more to promote the notion of public service. In many schools across America, community service is required to graduate. This encourages a spirit of volunteerism for the rest of one's life and builds community spirit and pride as young people see what they can do with their own hands to help.
