Casablanca, September 14, 2008 – In order to ensure region-wide progress in the most urgent development challenge faced by Africa, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid, Honorary President of Maghreb Association for Research and Fight against AIDS (Société Maghrébine de Recherche et de Lutte contre le Sida), has laid out a new vision for Africa to tackle HIV/AIDS epidemic and to increase science and research in the fight against AIDS.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid’s long-term commitment to global fight against AIDS is striving to forge greater cooperation with the international community to ensure healthcare without borders in Africa.
Playing a leading role in shaping Africa’s destiny, through His Honorary Presidency Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has exposed the importance of AIDS vaccine research and development.
While, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has made a huge personal contribution to the cause of tackling global poverty and striving towards the Millennium Development Goals, He underlines negative effect of AIDS epidemic in Africa, which is crippling developing programs.
To reduce poverty and to make positive effect on social and economic progress for the millions of poor people living in Africa, better research to promote good practices in responding to HIV/AIDS is one of the keys to reaching the goal.
