Rabat, March 21, 2007 - His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the heir to the Moroccan throne, conferred with the President of the 61st session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, a prominent advocate for a dialogue among cultures and civilizations, reiterated the importance to promote understanding and dialogue among religions, cultures and civilizations.
His Royal Highness - highly commended for his tireless work and vision - is ensuring the respect for and peaceful co-existence among all religions.
His Royal Highness spearheads several projects in Morocco and abroad that emphasize on the dialogue among cultures and civilizations with primarily focus on what people have in common at the practical level instead of what divides them at the doctrinal level.
General Assembly President Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa is on official visit to Morocco. Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa was elected President of the sixty-first session of the General Assembly on 8 June 2006.
