Equatorial Guinea, April 20, 2009 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid has been conferred the Grand Cross of Equatorial Guinea by President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
This announcement was made during official banquet dinner on Friday April 17th, 2009 in the Presidential Palace of Equatorial Guinea, where Crown Prince Moulay Rachid is currently on the official state visit.

Equatorial Guinea, April 20, 2009 -- In the framework of His official state visit, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid held tête-à-tête talks on Friday April 17th, 2009 with a President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Building on their last meeting (October 26, 2006) in Rabat, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid reinforced collaboration to deal with international and regional affairs.
Pushing relations to a higher level, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid voiced bilateral relations in the economic and trade, energy, cultural and humanitarian sectors.
International issues were also on Crown Prince Moulay Rachid’s agenda, in particular settling the Morocco-Africa conflict, and actions to counter the global economic crisis and poverty of all African people.

In the course of the visit, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid will pursue the friendly policies toward efforts to improve Morocco-Africa relations.
Crown Prince Moulay Rachid believes the Kingdom of Morocco should maintain the high-level course of role stated by His Majesty King Hassan II, reinforcing mutual political trust with Africa.
Promoting the level of bilateral cooperation during His trip, Crown Prince Moulay Rachid will hold talks with President of Equatorial Guinea on the further development of friendship and cooperation.
Also, Morocco and Equatorial Guinea will sign a series of cooperation documents during Crown Prince Moulay Rachid's visit.

HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid commemorated death anniversary of His Father
Rabat, April 5, 2009 -- Honouring memory of His late father, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid visited the late King Hassan II's tomb in the Mohamed V Mausoleum to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of the late His Majesty King Hassan II.
His Majesty King Hassan II passed away on July 23rd, which coincides to April 5th 2009 in the Islamic calendar.
