HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid mirrors the petanque’s credo

Rabat, April 26, 2008 – To continue to capture the benefits of sport tourism as one of the fastest growing segments in the tourism, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Rachid consented to officiate opening of the 2nd Petanque World Championship which run from April 26th to 27th, 2008.

The Stade Marocain (SM) Club is delighted to welcome for the second time the World Championship in Petanque in Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. This tournament is the most thrilling event the (SM) Club is organizing during the year.

Held under the Royal Presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, an international open competition offers the funded place for the best players to come to participate and celebrate the game of petanque.

His Royal Highness, who is committed to find new ways and directions for economic progress, has helped to establish a number of social events at a global and grass root levels through innovative ideas.
