
The Royal Moroccan Skiing and Mountaineering Federation’s annual opening event took place in the breathtaking Atlas Mountains at the Oukaimeden ski resort in the province El Haouz from December 29th to January 2nd, starting off with the series of courses and the first competition of the season, the Morocco’s Federal Cup.
The season will continue with the national alpine skiing competition, which will take place at Oukaimeden from January 10th to 13th and will be followed by a refresher course for the benefit of the national teams organized from January 26th to February 2nd.
These national teams hope will be involved in the International Ski Mountaineering Competition, the Trophy HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, taking place at the Oukaimeden ski resort and mountains from January 30th to February 3rd.
His Royal Highness is hoping that the set of events will help to raise awareness of the Morocco’s finest ski resort Oukaimeden - the true taste of adventure and cultural experience - to help to attract more international visitors.

The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and Oukaimeden encompasses stunning scenery and fabulous atmosphere provide the perfect recipe for a wonderful winter getaway.
Oukaimeden presents a selection of 20 trails for various levels of ability, but the ski resort’s most outstanding attraction is the access it provides to countless untracked trails that wind through the High Atlas mountain range. The slopes are served by seven chairlifts including the continent’s highest at an altitude of 10,734 feet.
